The Everest Base Camp trek is considered a moderate to difficult trek. It requires a sufficient level of physical fitness and stamina to complete. Trekkers should be prepared for 6-8 hours of trekking per day, depending on the length of the itinerary. Some days include steep climbs and high-altitude terrain.

Day wise itinerary

Arrival at Kathmandu Int’l airport, meet /Greet with local representative and transfer to hotel. Later, there will be a
detailed briefing on the Everest Base camp. The rest of the day is at leisure. Remaining of the day will be free for

This morning we transfer to the domestic airport for our flight to Lukla, the starting point for all treks into the Everest
Region – the so called Gateway to Everest! It is a 40 min flight from the valley of Kathmandu all the way to the
foothills of the Himalaya’s (Flight is subject to strict weather conditions and therefore at times may get delayed or
cancelled)
On arrival in Lukla we will meet our Sherpa crew of guides who will be looking after us and all our gear along with
their trusted Djokbe’s. Once all preparations have been complete we will begin our first trek, out of Lukla. From
Lukla we will descend on a wide trail northwest to the village of Choblung in the Dudh Kosi Valley. We will be

treated to beautiful views and smells of pine forest and rhododendrons. This sections walking is fairly easy,
meandering along the rivers course, through the village of Ghat all the way to the small village. Overnight in
Phakding.

From Phakding, after crossing the Dudh-koshi suspension bridge, the walk is easy and pleasant with short uphill
and down-hill climb. You would be re-crossing the same river again. You would have a magnificient view of
Thermasarkhu which is 6,608 meters from the village of Benkar. Now you would cross the long suspension bridge
over the Bhote- Koshi River. This is a busy area and is full f trekkers and porters. After here you would finally arrive

to the small river of Monjo, after a climb of 20 minutes from this area. Here, you can see some interesting water
mills which are used for grinding corns and barley. It is one of the major staple diet of the Sherpas. Monjo is
situated below the magnificent peak of Thermasharkhu. Close to this you have the entrance to the Sagarmatha
national park. At this point, your trekking permit is checked and the officials kleep a record of all the trekkers going
ahead. After a gradual walk you would reach Namche bazaar. You can also get prepared for some high altitude

Thame, an old sherpa village or Khumjung village. Both these options are great for an acclimatization hike that
render wonderful sightings of Mt. Everest as well as surrounding snow-clad peaks. You can visit National Park
Head Office, museum and monastery. You can also choose to spend time in cafes, shops, bakeries and
restaurants at Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar

Post breakfast in Namche Bazaar, trek onward to the ridge. This is an easy trail to Kyamjuma which descends
slightly to Dudhkoshi at 3250 m. Along the trail, feast your eyes on the breathtaking views of Mt. Everest, Mt.

Himalayan wildlife including musk deer, multi-colored pheasants and Himalayan Thar. The trail will lead you to
Sanasa- a junction to Gokyo lakes and EBC. A gruelling ascent will bring you to Tengboche monastery. Overnight
in Tengboche.

Start from Tengboche and hike down for around 30 minutes along the riverside through meandering jungle trails
and eventually hike up to to the valley’s highest year round settlement of Pangboche. The trail is through Mani
stone walls and small settlements. Enjoy the close-up of Mt. Ama Dablam. Continue hiking up to Pheriche, a walk

from here will lead you to Imja valley. Climb a steep trail to reach Dingboche. Overnight in Dingboche

Moring after breakfast whole day explore own. Overnight in Dingboche.

Today, start your day from a climb to Dugh la through the Khumbu valley. The valley beings to narrow down in
Dusa. Enjoy the views of Chola Lake and a majestic view of Mt. Pumori. Cross a small wooden bridge to reach
Dugh la. From here begins the second important climb to Khumbu glacier. Look at the numerous memorials of
sherpas here. Spot majestic peaks from this point, including Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori and Mahalangur Himal.
Hike up to Lobuche. Overnight in Lobuche.

Today will be an exciting day for you as you are very close to your final destination. Today you will have an
adventurous journey and a great trekking experience. The first walk of an hour is gradual up to the valley and leads
to a grassy field. A walk of nearly 20 minutes takes you to the rocky moraine dunes. As you go ahead on your
journey you can see the icy- glacial ponds and icebergs which lie below the Khumbu glacier. After a few more rocky
moraine dunes and a gradual downhill walk, you reach Gorakshep.
After this, the trek to Everest Base Camp can be misleading among the high- altitude trekking which is a strenuous
climb. You must follow the lead Sherpa as the paths change every season due to the movement of the glaciers. But
once you reach to Everest Base Camp after a total of 7 to 8 hours walk, a grand view of the Khumbu Ice fall awaits

you. Everest Base Camp is a lively place during the high expedition season. Return to Gorakshep. Overnight in
Gorakshep

Today in the morning, after a scrumptious breakfast, you will start the trek to a moraine from where you will see the
amazing view of the Gorak Shep (a beautiful quaint village set in sandy area with a frozen lake) and Kala Pattar.
On reaching the top, you will have a magnificent view of the Everest, including Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Kantega,

Thamserku, Tawatse, Pumori and Changtse. After cherishing the majestic view, you will d escend back to Gorak
Shep. Overnight in Pheriche.

Continue trek after having breakfast and onwards and pass Tashinga and Sansa villages before arriving at
Kyangjuma. As we reach Kyangjuma, we will be stunned at witnessing spectacular views of Ama-Dablam, Nuptse,
Thamserku, Lhotse, Everest, and other stunning peaks. Overnight in Kyangjuma.

In this day, have morning breakfast and continue trek towards Monjo, which is situated at the elevation of the 2840
meters. As we continue trek ahead, we will cross clings to steep wooden slop and reach to the Kyangjuma. We will
also reach the famous Sherpa capital called Namche Bazaar before we reach Monjo. On the way, we will follow the
beautiful forest, where we can also encounter with the wildlife such as snow leopards, mountain goats, colorful
pheasants, and so on. The further steep descent trail will take us to the beautiful bridge over the Dudh Koshi River
and cross the river twice at separate locations before we reach to Monjo. Overnight in Monjo

After morning breakfast and continue trek ahead of Lukla. Today is the last day of our trek. We will descend gradual
down by cuts up to the airstrip in Chauri Kharka. The further trek will pass Phakding and Chopping villages on the
way and climb upward to Chauri Kharka, and finally arrive at Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. Overnight in
Lukla.

After morning breakfast, we will take around 40 minutes flight for Kathmandu from Lukla. As you arrive at
Kathmandu, one of the representatives will drop you to the hotel, there will be a hotel check-in and you can take
some rest. In the evening, you can stroll around the Thamel Bazaar and have some souvenir shopping for the last
time. In the evening, you can enjoy a farewell dinner with typical Nepali cultural program and celebrate the
successful completion of our journey. Overnight in Kathmandu.

You will be dropped at the airport for our international flights back home.
